Adding Leave on Behalf of Another Employee

In JobBag, you can record leave for someone else using two different methods: Active Diary or the Payroll Leave Reconciliation window. Choose the option that best suits your workflow.


Option 1: Add Leave via Active Diary

  1. Navigate to JobBag menu > Active Diary
  2. Right-click anywhere in the calendar

    Select Create Event

    Choose Leave as the event type

    Complete the leave form, including:

    • Leave Type
    • Leave For (employee)
    • Description
    • Start and End Dates
  3. Select whom the leave approval request should be sent to
  4. Save the event.

Option 2: Add Leave via Payroll Leave Reconciliation

This method is typically used by the Payroll Administrator and requires the appropriate payroll privileges to access.

  1. Navigate to Payroll menu > Step 1: Reconcile\Approve Leave

    Select Request Leave

    Complete the form, including:

    • Employee
    • Leave Type
    • Description
    • From/Until Dates
  2. Request Approval (if required)
  3. Save the request.

Approving Leave Requests

Once leave approvals are set up in JobBag, leave approval managers and Payroll Administrators can receive approval requests, review leave balances, check who else is on leave and approve leave.
