JobBag + Weel Integration Now Live!
We’re excited to announce that JobBag has officially launched an integration with Weel, a leading spend management platform. If your team uses Weel to manage business expenses, this integration will streamline how payments are created and reconciled within JobBag—saving you time and improving accuracy.

With the new integration, you can now:
- Download Weel transactions for each team member directly into JobBag.
- Automatically create payments from these transactions.
- Reconcile expenses using JobBag’s existing bank reconciliation process.
No more manual data entry —just simple, secure, and efficient expense handling.
Set up Process
Step 1: Gather Required Information
Before setting up the integration, ensure you have the following:
- A Weel account
- Your Weel Client ID
- Your Weel API Key
These details can be obtained directly from your Weel account manager.
Step 2: Create new General Ledger Account
- Navigate to the ledger menu > Chart of accounts
- Clone an existing bank account type
- Use the same account settings as per the screen shot
Step 3: Add Weel as a Bank in the Address Book
- Navigate to the JobBag menu > Address Book
- Create a new Bank Address Book type for Weel, if it doesn’t already exist.
- Enter the Weel Client ID and Weel Key provided by Weel.
- Create Weel bank account in the bank and your accounts tab
- Click Save to update the record.
Step 4: Enable Access to Weel Payments
To allow users to download and create payments using Weel:
- Go to Group Maintenance in JobBag.
- Enable access to the Weel payments feature for the relevant user groups.
- Ensure that only users who already have permission to create payments in JobBag are granted access.
✅ You're Done!
Once the setup is complete, authorised users will be able to create and manage payments through Weel directly from within JobBag.
Weel Process
Cardholders Add Job Info in Weel
Before downloading, cardholders must enter the Job Number and Kind into each Weel transaction.
2. Download Transactions into JobBag
Go to Accounts > WEEL, select your Weel Key, set the date range, and download.
3. Review Transactions
- Downloaded transactions appear in the WEEL window.
- The Job and Kind columns will show YES if valid, or NO if missing.
- Add extra columns if needed for clarity.
⚠️ Note: Payments can only be created when both Job and Kind are present and valid.
4. Create Payments
Click Create Payments to initiate processing for valid transactions.
5. Reconcile the Weel Bank Account
- Go to Accounts > Bank Reconciliation > Weel Bank
- Import the bank statement.
- Matched transactions will automatically turn green.
Note: Transactions which have both the Job and Kind will auto match
❗ Error Handling
If a payment can't be created, JobBag will display a message identifying the issue:
Common Errors:
- No job for WEEL ID – Ask the user to update the job number in Weel.
- No kind for WEEL ID – The Kind field is missing; it needs to be added.
- Couldn't assign kind for WEEL ID – The Kind is invalid for the job type (e.g., using a Client Kind on an Overhead job).
Fixing the Errors:
- Have the cardholder correct the data in Weel.
- Re-download the same transaction range.
- Filter for "Only transactions that haven’t been saved as payments" and click RELOAD.
- If valid, click CREATE PAYMENTS again.
