Personalise your Dashboard in the Desktop
What is the Dashboard?
The Dashboard is the first thing you’ll see when you log into JobBag. It provides a centralised overview of your key information and activity through a series of interactive widgets.
Each widget gives you quick insights into different areas—like jobs, tasks, leave, timesheets, and more - based on your role and permissions.
🖥️ The Dashboard opens automatically when you log in to JobBag.
You can opt out of this by unticking ‘Open up at start’ in the Settings window.
How to Configure Your Dashboard
Want to customise what you see? It's easy:
Step 1: Click the ⚙️ Cog Icon
Located in the top-right corner of your Dashboard screen.
Step 2: Select Your Widgets
A list of available widgets will appear. Tick or untick the widgets you want to display or hide.
🛡️ Note: The widgets available to you are based on your JobBag access rights. This means some widgets shown in other articles or user dashboards might not be visible to you.

Examples of Common Widgets
Depending on your role, you might see widgets like:
- ⏱️ Your Timesheets - Track and view your timesheet Actual v Expected
- 📁 Jobs You Manage - Monitor jobs/projects you're responsible for.
- 🏆 Leaderboard - View team or individual rankings for timesheet entry
- 🗓️ Your Schedule - See upcoming tasks and events in your calendar.
- 📝 Author’s Corrections - Make sure authors corrections have been billed
- 🧮 Admin vs Billable Time - Compare admin vs billable hours.
- 💼 Business Won - Tracks the number of jobs which have been opened for new and existing clients
- 📊 Current Period - Displays the current period of your data.
- 💸 Periodic Payments - Track and process recurring payments.
- 🔁 Recurring Items - Track and process recurring items.
- 🧾 Recurring Invoices - Track and process recurring Invoices
- 📘 Standing Journals - Track and process recurring Standing Journals
- 🕵️♂️ Timesheet Monitoring - Monitor timesheets entry across the team.
- 📑 Your Favourite Reports - Quick links to your saved custom reports.
- 📂 Unposted Transactions - Shows entries not yet posted to accounts.
- 🚫 Unapproved Expenses - View employee expenses pending approval.
- ✏️ Unsubmitted Expenses - Expenses that haven’t been submitted yet.
- 📈 Capacity Utilisation Metrics - Understand workload vs capacity.
- 🕓 Unapproved Quotes - Quotes waiting for internal approval.
- 📬 Unaccepted Quotes - Quotes sent to clients but not yet accepted.
