Creating a Timesheet in the Desktop
Timesheets are a valuable tool for tracking the time you spend on both billable and non-billable jobs. Logging your hours daily or weekly helps keep your projects on track and improves overall time management. Timesheets in JobBag are used by employees and freelancers to record time worked on tasks, jobs, or clients.
Creating a Timesheet Without a Task in the Active Diary
You donโt always need a task to create a timesheet. Follow these steps:
- Open the Active Diary. Navigate to:
JobBag menu > Active Diary
- Select the date you want to log time for
- Right-click on the selected date
- Choose Create timesheet entry
Required Fields
When creating a timesheet without a task, fill in:
- Job number
- Phase (if applicable)
- Kind (type of work)
- Date
- Duration
๐ Start/Stop time is optional but helpful for detailed tracking.
Creating a Timesheet From a Task in the Active Diary
Creating a timesheet from a task is faster and ensures accuracy.
- Open the Active Diary. Navigate to:
JobBag menu > Active Diary
- Right-click on the relevant task in the task list. You can also grab a task from the list and drop into the diary
- Select Create timesheet entry for selected task
The following fields will pre-fill automatically:
- Job number
- Task name
- Kind
- Phase (if applicable)
All you need to do is:
- Enter Start/Stop time
- Enter Duration
- Click the โ Green Tick to submit
