Two Factor Authentication
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in JobBag
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security when users log into JobBag. It is mandatory for users who access sensitive information such as administration, payroll/talent records, or bank account details. You can also choose to enable 2FA for all users.
How 2FA Works
When logging in, users enter their username and password. If 2FA is enabled, they’ll then be prompted to enter a 6-digit one-time authentication code, which can be delivered via:
- Authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, FreeOTP, Microsoft Authenticator)
- Email (sent to the address in their user record)
2FA Setup
On their first login, users choose how to receive their one-time pass code:
Use an Authenticator App
Scan the QR code on the JobBag screen, then enter the generated code from the app.
Email to Me
Receive the code via email and enter it in the prompt.
Note: If a user is not required to use 2FA, this setup screen will not appear.
Use Authenticator App
Scan the generated code on the JobBag authentication screen and enter the resulting code.
Examples of authenticator apps: Google Authenticator, FreeOTP, Microsoft Authenticator.
Email to me
Receive the authentication code by email and enter it in the field displayed.
The user's email address needs to be included in their user record
