How to Reset 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)
2-Factor Authentication (2FA) is required for JobBag users who have access to sensitive areas such as:
- Payroll
- Bank accounts
- Supplier records
- HR data
You can make 2FA mandatory for other users by assigning the appropriate privilege to their User Group.
Resetting 2FA for a User
If a user gets a new phone, deletes their authenticator app, or has trouble logging in, you may need to reset their 2FA.
Step 1: Navigate to User Maintenance
Go to:
File > Administration > Users Maintenance
Step 2: Select the User & Reset 2FA
- Select the affected user
- Click the Reset 2FA button from the toolbar
- Click Yes when prompted:
“Do you want to reset multi-factor authentication for user (Username)?”
Step 3: Confirm Status is Off
Check that the user’s Two FA status is now showing as Off in their user profile.
Step 4: Complete 2FA Setup
Option 1: Use Authenticator App
- Scan the QR code displayed in JobBag
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app
Option 2: Email to Me
- The user receives a code by email
- Enter the code to complete setup
Make sure the user's email address is entered in their User Record.
