Media Suppliers, Outlets and Owners

Media Suppliers

When suppliers are marked as Media Suppliers they will be available for selection from a drop-down list when a media plan is created. Suppliers can have default Kinds set up, so that they populate plans and purchase orders automatically.

Supplier rates can be set up as default. Up to 5 decimal places can be used, i.e. a rate of 100.12345. JobBag will calculate the dollar amounts.

Media Outlets

All Media Suppliers are Media Outlets.

Some Media Suppliers are Media Owners because Media Outlets are linked to them.

Media Owners

Some Media owners may own one or several media outlets. JobBag allows you to link media owners and their media outlets. These media suppliers are known as Master Owners when they are linked to their media outlets. Refer to Media Suppliers for more information.

  • Go to: JobBag menu > Address Book > Select the Media Owner
  • Select the Settings ⚙️ button to open tab selection. Select and open the Media Outlet tab.
  • Click on the green ➕ button to link a Media Outlet.
  • Select Media outlet from the drop-down list.
  • Enter the start date.

If this media outlet is sold to another owner, the start dates can overlap because invoices from the previous owner can arrive after the date when ownership changed.

All my POs are out of date. How do I process the invoices?

  • When the original booking was made, the media outlet was owned by “Media Owner A” and a PO is issued to “Media Owner A”
  • However, when the media plan happens the media outlet is owned by “Media Owner B” and the supplier invoice is from “Media Owner B”
  • You are able to process an invoice from “Media Owner B” by matching the PO which was issued to “Media Owner A”.

Before you start creating a media plan, do ensure that:

  • your list of suppliers is reviewed;
  • identify those who are media suppliers or media owners;
  • Mark them as media supplier/media outlet;
  • If you have a media owner - link them to their media outlets.

How to create a Media Supplier Address book Record

  • Create media supplier record. At this point, a default Commission or Third Party Commission value can be entered.
  • Address Book List of Media Suppliers
  • When a supplier is identified as a media supplier - they are available for selection when the media plan is created.
