Media Plan: Editing, Phases, and Media Booking lines

Just like a Job Plan, Media plans can have:

  • Enter start and end dates for a phase,
  • Add new phases,
  • Schedule media spots beyond the end date of a media phase,
  • Copy media lines and booking lines.
  • To save a version of the plan, click Take Snapshot, name it, and it will appear alongside the current plan.
  • For clients or suppliers overseas, choose to view costs in Schedule or Division currency.
  • Use filters to show Planned, Booked, and/or Invoiced media in the plan.

Default Media Plan Phase

When you create a media job, the default phase name is usually Phase 1 unless you have set up a default template plan.

Change Name of Default Media Phase

  • Right-click on a phase to edit  the phase name
  • Click on Add New Phase
  • Complete the entry screen

Note: The default Phase 1 cannot be deleted, you need at least one phase in a plan.

Schedule media beyond the end date of a phase

Media spots can be scheduled beyond the scheduled End date of a Phase.

When a media spot is scheduled beyond the end date of a phase - the dates change colour.


Edit a media plan

Add Information lines to a Media Plan

  • Click on the Add Info button located just above the plan.
  • Enter text as required, then click the Create button.
  • The additional information entered will appear as a line in the plan, and will also appear in print format.

Copy a line in a Media Plan

  • Hold the Shift key down, click on the 3 dots and drag the plan to another phase.
  • When at the location desired, release the mouse button.

  • If there are bookings attached to the copied line, the Edit Bookings window will appear.
  • Save changes and the copied line is saved.


Edit Bookings

In the Edit Bookings window, all bookings/media insertions/spots can be viewed and edited if required.

The following is a media plan which has a mix of booked and invoiced media spots.

Click on the edit icon in the Media Plan line to open Edit Bookings. The complete details of the media plan can be viewed or reversed and a new one created.


If you changed the status of a media job to dead in error, changing the status of the job to add or edit the media plan does not help as the phases and tasks in the planning tab are automatically marked complete.

  • Navigate to JobBag menu > Jobs >  Planning tab
  • Change status of the job to live
  • click on the planning tab
  • change the status of the phase/s to live
  • click on the media tab, you now can add media or edit the media plans
