Find Jobs

Find Jobs

The Find Jobs feature helps you locate specific jobs in JobBag using detailed filters. Whether you're searching by job number, date, client, or progress, this tool gives you a powerful way to pinpoint the exact jobs you need.

Open the Job Search Dialog

Click the Find Jobs button from the right-hand menu of the Jobs window to open the Job Search Dialog.

Using Search Criteria

Search filters are grouped by type and can be expanded or collapsed by clicking the section headers.

Collapsed sections will display a summary of your active filters.

JobBag remembers which sections you last expanded for next time.

Example:

Search for all Proposed, Live, and On Hold jobs with the word cookies in the title, created between Jan 1 – May 31, marked as Retainers.

Search by: Job Number

Searching by job number will override all other filters and return an exact match.

You can also search by a range of job numbers or job title (which includes synonyms and short names).

Search by: Date Range

Narrow your results based on a range of dates (e.g. start date, due date, invoiced date, etc.).

Search by: Clients

You can filter by client or country. Be mindful—if you select Australia as a country and also choose a client outside Australia, you may get no results.

Search by: Account Executive / Account Director

Find jobs by who’s responsible.

Example: Search for jobs where Alan Bond or Sandy Hope are the Account Executives, but only if Robert Martin is the Account Director.

These titles may differ in your database.

Search by: Billing Information

Filter jobs by invoice status (e.g. invoiced, not invoiced).

Note: Some invoice filters are also found under Date Range.

Search by: Planning

Tick the box for Jobs with Tasks to filter only jobs that include tasks.

Search by: Notes and Keywords

Use free-text search to find jobs based on:

  • Notes
  • Specifications
  • Keywords (including nested or "container" keywords)

JobBag searches synonyms in notes/specs automatically.

Search by: Progress

Find jobs based on usage of budget or traffic.

  • Budget Used = total job value as a % of accepted quote
  • Traffic Used = traffic kinds only, expressed as % of available traffic budget

Both columns can be added to your work list view.

Search by: Limits

These options appear at the end of the search panel:

  • Limit selection to the most recently created jobs (e.g. last 10 jobs).
  • Only include jobs created/modified by you to quickly find what you’ve worked on.

Save Your Search

JobBag always opens the search window with blank filters.

However, you can:

  • Save a dynamic worklist for frequent searches.
  • Use Sets Logic to set a default search that loads each time.
