    1.0 When Employee Works 5 days a week @ 8 hours per day

    In this case we do not need to use ‘override default capacity’.

    The employee capacity you enter in the employee record creates the expected capacity for the employee:

    This expected capacity is used in JobBag as follows:

    • in the active diary

    • in Visual Planning

    In the following example, the employee is assigned 2 tasks:

    Design Layout - 10 hrs from 30 Jan to 4 feb
    Concept Development - 3 hrs from 1 Feb 20178 to 4 Feb 2018

    In visual planning, it shows his capacity and the amount of assigned time for the tasks.

    And in their Active Diary, the assigned tasks have reduced the available capacity left

    2.0 If Employee does not work a fixed set of days a week

    Consider the following employee who works 8 hrs a day for 3 days a week - and only on Mon, Tues and Wed

    His active Diary appears as below

    If employee decides to work on Wed, Thurs and Friday, use the ‘Override Default Capacity’:

    Use this for employees who don’t work normal business hours

    Step 1 Click on in the following screen

    Step 2 In the following screen edit and change the days and hours worked.

    Step 3 The Active Diary now shows capacity on Wed, Thurs, and Friday

    This default capacity information flows through to Visual planning etc

    Step 4 If the employee is assigned a task over a period of days - you can ensure he is not assigned a task on the day he does not work.

    Click on the drop down list icon

    And select the days the employee is working (based on dates entered in Step 2 above.

    JobBag will assign the tasks to the days the employee works.
