    How to create a client credit note from the job

    Use this process if you want to raise a credit note for the full amount of the client Invoice from a job


    Step 1: Navigate to the JobBag menu > jobs worklist > find the job number > client invoice tab

    Step 2: Select and open invoice > select credit

    Step 3: Update Create new credit window

    All you need to do is update the date and enter a description. 

    No need to update job numbers, kinds or amounts. The reversed amounts, job numbers and kinds are the exact same as the original invoice.

    Step 4: Log Credit Note

    Note: This next part may need to be performed by a admin/finance user

    Select the credit note you want to log ( the credit note should already be ticked)

    Finalise the date and period, you have the chance to change before you select ok

    Select yes


    Step5: Create receipt journal to offset the credit note against the original invoice

    Navigate the Accounts menu > Receipt Journals

    Note: This will need to be done by an admin/finance user
