    Create a Purchase Order- Normal Supplier

    There are four methods to access the create PO screen:

    1  When you accept a RFQ ( Request for Quote), you have an option to immediately create a PO. In this case, JobBag pre-fills the PO with information from the RFQ eg supplier name, job no, kind code, quantities, and amount . Refer to RFQXXXXX

    2  When an accepted estimate has a reference to a supplier, you have the option to create a PO from the estimate. In this case JobBag pre-fills the PO with information from the estimate eg supplier name, job no, kind code and amount. Refer to EstimateXXXX

    3  Navigate to:  Costings > Purchase Order > New In this case, you have to fill in all the required information. When you use this option, you can have more than one line and jobs.

    4  PO tab in Jobs Window - in this case JobBag pre-fills the Job number

    All the above four options give you access to the 'Create Purchase Order' screen.

    Complete the information in the screen below, click on save, approve PO and email it to the supplier. 

    Note A purchase order may have one or multiple lines. if there is only one line item, the entire order applies to the job on that line. However, if a purchase order has multiple line items, then they could refer to:

    • multiple tasks on one job
    • the same task on one job with multiple options (eg, different quantities may be requested)
    • the same task on multiple jobs
    • a mixture of the above

    Refer to Features on PO screen for more information about each field on the PO.

    When PO has been created, click on the printer icon to view options for sending PO to the supplier.

    Select one of the options to view and print a PO. Refer to Print a PO for more information.
