Back Dated Pay Adjustments
The recommended process is as follows:
Step 1 Manually calculate the pay adjustment
Example: Pay rise is effective 1 July 2018 - they get an extra $10 per hour.
But you have paid them for the first two weeks. Hours worked per week = 38 hrs Two weeks hours is 76 hours Therefore back pay is: 38*10 = $380.00 The back pay hrs are not taken into account for leave accrual calculations.
Step 2 Create a kind code for “back dated pay” - refer to screen shot below
Step 3 Process pay slip as below:
The first line will be automatically filled with the pay for the current processing period. Next tab through and a new line will be added. Change the kind code for this line to “Back Dated Pay”
